Today’s post is all about that turquoise shimmer! Native War Paints has done it again; creating a gorgeous collection filled to the brim with beautiful shimmer and brilliant color! This collection is the Turquoise Carnival, and will be launching Friday, September 22nd, at Noon EDT. They will be $9 each or $50 for the entire collection. These will also be available at Polish Con Chicago! Let’s get to the pictures of these beauties, shall we…

[i’m so dizzy] is a dark grey with turquoise shimmer. I used two coats and top coat for my swatch. These all applied so beautifully! The colors are just gorgeous!

[deep fried everything] is a dark oxblood red with turquoise shimmer. Two coats and top coat for my swatch. Another gorgeous one!

[under the lights] is a dark, inky blue with turquoise shimmer. Two coats and top coat for my swatch. I am just loving these shades!

[giant stuffed animals] is a deep, dark pink with turquoise shimmer. Two coats and top coat for my swatch. I could keep saying gushy things about this collection, but I think you get the idea. I love them all!! (this one may actually be my favorite of the collection, though. shhhh…don’t tell the others!)

[games on the midway] is a dark blue leaning purple with turquoise shimmer. Two coats and top coat for my swatch. Another stunner!

[tilt-a-whirl] is a mid-tone purple with turquoise shimmer. Two coats and top coat for my swatch. Just beautiful!

I am loving every single one of these beauties, and I could totally see them all glowing under the lights at the carnival! Once again, these launch on Friday, September 22nd, at Noon EDT in the NWP shop, and will also be available at Polish Con Chicago September 23rd.

NASA Hubble collection by NvrEnuff Polish | Indie Polish Review

December 20th, 2015

**this product is a press sample and was sent to me to swatch and give my honest review**

Today’s post is all about nail polish + outer space. This beautiful collection from the girls over at NvrEnuff Polish is called the NASA Hubble collection. And let me tell you, it most definitely reminds me of outer space. These polishes were inspired by some amazing photos taken by the Hubble Telescope. For my swatches I used two coats and top coat. And as per usual, these polishes apply like a dream. NvrEnuff makes some of my favorite polishes, and their formula is superb!! Take a peek below, and see for yourself how beautiful this collection is!! (normally I link each polish to their page in the shop, but currently their site is down for maintenance because they are prepping for a restock, I will try to correct the links when their site is live again)

The First one in this collection is [earliest galaxies]. This gorgeous teal/blue is loaded up with teal and holo glitters throughout.

And the last beauty in this amazing collection is [water on mars]. This shimmery blue is so magical!!

And now because Lynne and Alix are simply awesome ladies, they also sent me this gorgeous purple (purple is my favorite color, and they just know the way to my heart! and because the first swatch package they sent out to me got lost in postal service neverland). This is [indie shop til you drop], and was their limited edition Small Business Saturday polish that they had during the Black Friday weekend. Thank you, both, for this lovely surprise!!

Bliss Polish “it’s all fun & games part 2” | indie polish review

October 7th, 2015

**this collection is a press sample and was sent to me to photograph and swatch and give my honest review**

I love polish collections that are out of the norm for a particular season. This fun, new collection from Yvette over at Bliss Polish is just that! It’s called the “It’s All Fun & Games Part 2” collection and it consists of four polishes with different finishes that are pastel in nature, and are loaded with holo, shimmer and lots of flakies!! Check it out…

Bliss fPolish it's all fun & games part 2 collection

First up we have [a-game]. A beautiful purple shimmer that has a green shift to it. I’m pretty sure that it is also filled with holo magic!! I used 2 easy coats and top coat for all of my swatches. Yvette’s polishes have such an amazing formula and apply like a dream!

Next up is [for the win]. The gray crelly has some awesome gold and lavender flakies throughout that actually give the polish a lavender hue. I really liked the appearance of this one!

Next is this pinkish-purple beauty called [raise the stakes]. This is most definitely a loaded holo!! So full of holo and shimmer!!

Margarita Time by Top Shelf Lacquer | Indie Polish Review

September 17th, 2015

**this collection is a press sample and was sent to me to swatch and give my honest review**

Today’s post is about some beautiful holo polishes from Top Shelf Lacquer. Holo polishes are so pretty! And the colors in these are so rich . They’re not quite what you’d expect for a fall line-up, but that’s one of the reasons that I love them so much! I was sent the 8ml polish shot minis to swatch, and I was skeptical about them at first because of the smaller lid and brush. But these 8ml minis have a normal flat brush like you’d find in a full-sized bottle, and a larger-than-most-minis lid!! They were very easy to hold, and I didn’t have any problems with the bush at all. So if you like collecting minis, these 8ml polish shots are perfect!

This new collection of 7 beautiful holos (some jelly and some cremes) will be launching on September 25th at 8p EST. (for all of my swatches I used 2 coats and top coat)

Top Shelf Lacquer margarita time collection

First up is [blackberry margarita], a rich navy linear holo jelly. This is one of my favorites from this collection! This picture does not do it justice as in my picture it looks almost black, but it really is a deep navy!

Next up is [moonlight margarita]. This rich creme is described as a periwinkle/blurple linear holo. But in my opinion it is almost more of a cobalt on the nail. Either way, it is gorgeous!! The formula is perfection! And I was surprised by how much I liked this one, as I’m not much of a blue polish person, but as I type this, it is currently still on my left hand (I am sporting two different colors today; one on my left and one on my right! Gotta have fun! =P).

Now for some purple!! This little beauty is [lavender margarita]. A lavender creme with a linear holo. Purple is my favorite color, so I was excited to see that this collection had 2 of them!!! Again with the amazing formula (actually, ALL of them have a perfect formula, and applied so nicely!)!

And more purple! [purple-rita] is my top pick from this collection! This is a nice warm purple that is so rich in color!!

Now for some pinks…[pink lady margarita] is a medium pink creme with a subtle scattered holo. This is a nice lighter pink. I love the holo effect in each of these!

[prickly pear margarita] is a dark pink creme with a subtle scattered holo. This is one that I’d call a berry-colored polish. It has a cool undertone, but still looks good on those who are classified as a warm!

And lastly we have [pomegranate margarita]. This is the other jelly in the collection. I really love this one! Described as a “hot pink jelly with a prominent flair that glistens”. This is also one of my other favorites from this collection (though really, who am I kidding, because I actually love them all!).

This collection has some gorgeous colors! Which ones are you going to need? These beauties launch on September 25th at 8p EST over at Amy’s shop, and will be $11.50 each for full size, or $7.50 for the 8ml, or you can buy the entire collection at $73.50 for the full size, or $49.00 for the 8ml minis. Be sure to follow Top Shelf Lacquer over on Instagram for more information and more swatches.

Fall Collection from Polish My Life

September 10th, 2015

Fall is my favorite time of the year!! The colors, smells, weather…everything about Fall to me is perfect!! I especially love Fall-inspired nail Polish!!! The “Autumn-matically in Love” collection from Shaneka over at Polish My Life is no exception!! 5 beautiful creme shades with a hint of shimmer that make me think of Fall and all things that come with it. This collection is scheduled to launch on September 18th; follow Polish My Life on Instagram for more details and more swatch photos.

Polish My Life autumn-matically in love collection

For all of my swatches, I used two coats and top coat. The formulas are flawless (as per usual from Polish My Life), and I did not experience any staining. And I am loving the shimmer in these beauties!! It is more subtle in the blues and the red, though it is still visible, but it really shows in the yellow and teal/green.

First up is [warm sunsets]. I really like this dusky red!

This mustard yellow is [falling leaves] and is the perfect color to represent actual falling leaves!

Teal is one of my favorite polish colors! [morning dew] leans a little on the green side, but is still gorgeous!

Blue is actually one of my least favorite polish colors, but [ravenous rivers] is still such a beautiful blue!!

The last color in this collection is this intense, dusty blurple called [evening strolls]. This may be my favorite of the entire collection!!

So, which ones do you need?? This entire collection is a must-have in my opinion!!!

Be sure to visit the Polish My Life shop on September 18th to order your “Autumn-matically in Love” collection!!
