I'm Beckie. I manage our family-owned self-storage facility. I am also a professional photographer focusing on product photography, and I LOVE all things nail polish (ESPECIALLY nail art)!

I thought this would be a fun place to share my manis and swatches that I do, as well as discussing new favorite colors and brands, and my ever-growing polish collection! I mean, hey, I could have worse addictions, right? ;-)

Pastel Brights by Top Shelf Lacquer | Indie Polish Review

**this product is a press sample and was sent to me to swatch and give my honest review**

This here is the second collection that Amy, unhealthy of Top Shelf Lacquer, resuscitator is releasing today! These are the Pastel Brights, neurologist and they are so fun! They are the pastel versions of the Neon Lights that I posted earlier this week. These have such a creamy, dreamy formula! They do have a tad bit of shimmer that you can see in the bottle, but it’s not extremely visible on the nail in my swatches. I haven’t had a chance to do any art with them yet (since they launch tonight and I only got them two days ago), but it’s possible that the shimmer may show up more in art like the shimmer in the Neon Lights did. So for now, let’s get to the pictures =D

First up is [stop and smell the rose`]; a beautiful bright neon pink pastel creme. This is two coats and top coat for my swatch. These went on buttery smooth; each and every one of them!!

Next up is [alcohol you later]; a soft neon coral pastel creme. Two coats and top coat for my swatch. Another beauty!

Here we have [don’t worry, beer happy]; a yummy peach neon creme. I love this one!!! Two super easy coats and top coat.

Now for the yellow [hakuna ma’ vodka]; you’d never know this pastel yellow creme was just two coats!! That’s right. Opaque in TWO coats! And no undies, either. Not on any of them!

Next up is [shamrocked]; a delicious mint green pastel neon creme. Two easy coats and top coat for my swatch. I am loving this entire collection so far. How about you?

How about this little beauty? [take life one sip at a time]; a soft teal neon pastel. These cremes are just to-die-for yummy! Buttery and dreamy application!! Two easy coats and top coat.

Next up is [you look like i need a drink]; a creamy bright baby blue neon creme. Another one that applied in two easy coats and top coat.

And lastly, the gorgeous purple [drinkerbell]; a pastel neon purple creme. Two amazing coats and top coat. I can’t say enough how easily each and every one of these cremes applied! The formula is superb!

So tell me how you can resist these beauties! =P

These launch tonight alongside the Neon Lights collection at 8p Eastern in Amy’s shop. They’ll be $10 each individually for full size or $7 for the 8ml polish shots. ($80 for full size set, $56 for polish shots), and if you buy the complete set you’ll receive a FREE 15ml Bar Mix~Clear Watermarble. So set those alarms!! You NEED these!!

Neon Lights by Top Shelf Lacquer | Indie Polish Review

**this product is a press sample and was sent to me to swatch and give my honest review**

It’s almost that time again. You know, neurologist that time to break out the neon polishes! And this season Amy, infertility of Top Shelf Lacquer, steroids has outdone herself. She is launching not one, but two amazing neon collections! I have the first one ready to share with you today, and as soon as I have the second set ready to blog, you better believe that I’ll be sharing those with you as well.

First up is the Neon Lights collection. An 8 piece bright neon creme collection with added shimmer! These brilliant neons are so vivid. I fell in love with them just having them in my little “studio” while taking their bottle portraits, then even more once I got them on my nails! So let’s get to the pictures already!! I have also included some super fun nail art at the end of this post using some of the shades from this collection! =D

*Disclaimer: as we all know, some neons are really hard to photograph, but I did my best. So hopefully you get the idea of how amazingly gorgeous these are!*

First up is [liquid courage]: a super bright neon pink with a subtle blue shimmer. I used three coats and top coat for my swatch.

Next up is [i don’t give a sip]; a coral red with a turquoise shimmer. This is one of my favorites from the collection. I used 3 coats and top coat for my swatch.

The next shade we have is [you are the gin to my tonic]; a blinding traffic cone orange with a subtle green shimmer. I used three coats and top coat for my swatch. This one is My Loving Man’s favorite!

Here we have [if life gives you lemons, add vodka]; a highlighter yellow with subtle red shimmer. I needed three coats and top coat for opacity.

Next up is [i’ll be irish in a few beers]; a bright and cheery lime green with subtle orange shimmer. I used three coats and top coat for my swatch.

Another favorite, here is [drink like a pirate, dance like a mermaid]; a teal with a subtle copper shimmer. I can’t remember if I used two or three coats and top coat for this one. I think it was three, but really an extra coat can’t hurt, right? It’ll just add to the gorgeousness of it!

Next up is [i’m on cloud wine]; a cobalt blue with subtle purple shimmer. I used two coats and top coat for my swatch. Gorgeous!

And the last gorgeous shade in this collection is [great minds drink alike]; a stunning purple with gold shimmer. I used two or three coats and top coat for this one. You KNOW this is another favorite!!

And now I’ll show you a few different nail art swatches I did with these amazing polishes!

First I did a fan-brush gradient using [great minds drink alike], [liquid courage], and [i don’t give a sip] with some black stamping on top.

Next I used some tiny make-up applicator sponges and sponged on [i’ll be irish in a few beers], [drink like a pirate, dance like a mermaid], [i’m on cloud wine], and [great minds drink alike] in various ways and then did some black stamping over top.

And lastly, I used the fan brush again, and swiped on [i don’t give a sip], [you are the gin to my tonic], and [if life gives you lemons, add vodka] and added some black stamping on top.

So what do you think of this bright collection? Which ones do you need and can’t live without? These beauties launch on Friday, March 17th, at 8:00p Eastern in Amy’s shop.

Copper Penny collection by Native War Paints | Indie Polish Review

**these polishes were purchased by me

I have recently begun to fall in love with another indie brand called Native War Paints. It is run by a husband and wife team, thumb Brian and Amanda, and they make some of the most amazing shimmer polishes! They recently released a beautiful collection called the “Copper Penny” collection, and after seeing a bunch of swatches I decided that I needed to buy the ENTIRE 6 piece collection!! I don’t often do that, but I just could not resist with this one. They’re just so beautiful!

So far I have only worn three of the six polishes, but I can’t wait to wear the others. So here are some pictures for you of the first half of the “Copper Penny” collection…

This first one is [penny for your thoughts]; a gorgeous deep purple with copper shimmer. I used two easy coats and top coat for my swatch. Would you just look at the shimmer?! In. Love!

Next up is [my favorite copper sweater]; a teal/green with copper shimmer. This was the only one I was unsure about when I bought the collection, as you know me and greens. But as soon as I put it on my nails that uncertainty dripped away! This may be my favorite of them all (and you know purple is my favorite color)!! Two easy coats and top coat. This one looks so stunning in the sun; that shimmer turns almost pink!!

And the last swatch for today is [penny penny penny]; a vibrant fuchsia with copper shimmer. Another WOW! And another possible favorite! Two easy coats and top coat.

What do you think of the first half of this collection? I can’t wait to wear the other half now!! And when I do, I’ll be sure to show them here!

Naughty Nauticals by Polish My Life | Indie Polish Review

**this product is a press sample and was sent to me to swatch and give my honest review**

Hey there, meningitis ladies and gents. Today I want to show you the beautiful Naughty Nauticals collection by Shaneka of Polish My Life. This is a 6 piece collection of cremely polishes (cremely = creme/jelly) that are opaque in 2-3 coats, asthma and have a nice juicy finish! They’re beautiful shades for spring that are reminiscent of the ocean and sands! These launch March 17th (follow Shaneka on Instagram for more launch details). So let’s get to the pictures already…

First up is [tequila & tankinis]; a fun creamy orange. I used three coats for my swatch.

Next up is [bouyant & bouncy]; a vivd blue jelly. This one is more jelly-like than creme. I did struggle a bit more with application on this one as it was a tad thick for me, but it could’ve just been my bottle, because this type of application is unusual for a Polish My Life polish. I used three thin coats and top coat for my swatch.

Here we have [sexy shoreline]; you know I love a good nude! This is three super easy coats for my swatch!

Next is [these beaches are bold]; this is a nice bright red. I am surprised by how much I like this red!! It’s gorgeous! I needed only two coats for my swatch.

This beauty is perfect for spring [drop it like it’s yacht]; a perfectly sunny yellow! Three thin coats and top coat for my swatch.

And lastly [your wildest fanta-sea]; a lovely pale sky blue. I think this one might be my favorite of the collection (though I actually love them all)! Three thin coats for my swatch and perfection!

So what do you think of this beautiful Spring collection of cremely polishes from Polish My Life? Once again, these launch on March 17th. Be ready to get yours ordered! =D

Women of Words by Lollipop Posse Lacquer | Indie Polish Review

**this product is a press sample and was sent to me to swatch and give my honest review**

This new collection by Karen, adiposity of Lollipop Posse Lacquer, price is inspired by a strong girl or woman from some of her favorite books. This collection consists of five beautiful shades that applied like a dream, all in two easy coats, and have that gorgeous Lollipop sparkle! I’ll tell you about launch details after the pictures…

This is a deep jewel-toned raspberry shade filled with linear holographic pigment and silver holographic micro flakies. Every single one of these shades is so gorgeous, and I love this entire collection, so I’m just going to give you the descriptions, because I don’t really have any words for how amazing this collection is!

Next up is [courage, dear heart]; “But no one, except Lucy, knew that as the albatross circled the mast it had whispered to her ‘Courage, dear heart’, and the voice, she felt sure, was Aslan’s.” ~The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, by C.S. Lewis

This one is a glittering, glistening gold holographic that is packed with gold and bronze micro flakies and shimmers with a green undertone. This is a gorgeous gold!

Next we have [half so interesting]; “There’s such a lot of different Anne’s in me. I sometimes think that is why I’m such a troublesome person. If I was just the one Anne it would be ever so much more comfortable, but then it wouldn’t be half so interesting.” ~Anne of Green Gables, by L.M. Montgomery

This beauty is a deep, opaque emerald shade that is packed with scattered holographic pigment, blue micro flakies, bronze micro flakies, and blue/green shifting pigment.

Here we have [i give you your faults]; “Meg, I give you your faults.”
“My faults!” Meg cried.
“Your faults.”
“But I’m always trying to get rid of my faults.”
“Yes,” Mr Whatsit said. “However, I think you’ll find they’ll come in very handy on Comazotz.”
~ A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeleine L’Engle

This one is a rich, jewel-toned, holographic teal with bright sparks of gold and bronze micro flakies scattered throughout.

And lastly we have [you are the gull (strong and wild)]; “You are the gull, Jo, strong and wild, fond of the storm and the wind, flying far out to sea, and happy all alone.” ~Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott

This gorgeous beauty is a rich and luxurious sapphire/indigo shade packed with blue micro flakies and holographic pigment. (this is the beauty that I used as an accent nail in my Super Bowl mani; gorgeous, right??)

I’m not sure that I could pick one favorite out of this collection because I truly love them ALL!! Could you pick just one?
