Welcome to polishedbybeckie.com. I hope you enjoy your time here!

I'm Beckie. I manage our family-owned self-storage facility. I am also a professional photographer focusing on product photography, and I LOVE all things nail polish (ESPECIALLY nail art)!

I thought this would be a fun place to share my manis and swatches that I do, as well as discussing new favorite colors and brands, and my ever-growing polish collection! I mean, hey, I could have worse addictions, right? ;-)

The Nifty Shifty collection by Native War Paints | Indie Polish Review

**this product is a press sample and was sent to me to swatch and give my honest review**

Today I have some gorgeous shifty polishes to share with you from Brian and Amanda over at Native War Paints. This new multi-chrome collection is called “The Nifty Shifty” collection, and it has 6 amazing shifty polishes that are full of gorgeous color as well as shifty glitter and flakies! They will be available for preorder beginning Friday, June 16th at 12p Eastern on the Native War Paints site.

So, let’s get to the pictures already. This collection is gorgeous!!

[you shifting me] is a green/blue/violet/red with iridescent chameleon glitter and violet/red/copper ultra chameleon chrome flakies in a dark blue base. I used two coats and top coat for my swatch.

[shift change] is a red/bronze/copper shifter with chameleon iridescent glitter and gold holographic glitter in a red base. I used two coats and top coat for my swatch. This one reminds me of fall!

[transitional] has a pink/violet/red/copper shift. It has two sizes of chameleon iridescent glitter in a fuchsia base. I used two coats and top coat for my base.

[shiftastic!] a blue/purple/copper/magenta shifter with chameleon glitter and holographic flake in a purple base. I used two coats and top coat for my swatch. These polishes are just so beautiful!

[multichrome millionaire] has an emerald/blue/gold shift with iridescent chameleon glitter and scattered holographic glitter in a turquoise base. I used two coats and top coat for my swatch. This one might be my favorite of the bunch! 😉

[dramatic chromatic] is a violet/red/orange/gold shifter with iridescent chameleon glitters, clear holographic glitters, all in a black base. This vampy color is so beautiful! I used two coats and top coat for my swatch.

And lastly, a surprise addition to the NWP line-up, this gorgeous glitter topper called [changes]. It is full of iridescent chameleon glitters, scattered holographic glitter, and holographic flake! I love it!! I used it over a dark green creme for my swatch. This topper looks amazing over lighter colors as well (pictured below the green)!

So let’s get to some pictures 😛

[goddess potential] is a berry purple holo with blue shimmer and dark and light pink holo glitter throughout. I used 2 coats and top coat for my swatch. This has a great formula and it applied very nicely.

[silver sparkler] is a silver holo with gray flakies, micro glitter, and a bit of red shimmer. I used two coats and top coat for my swatch. This one also has a great formula. (I did have a bit of a time trying to capture the holo on camera for this one)

[ocean jewel] is a silvery teal-blue holo with blue and silver micro glitter. Another two coats and top coat, and beautiful formula. I think this one might be my favorite of the bunch. It’s such a gorgeous shade!

I wanted to see what these would like like together in a squishy marble, so I did just that! And it looks magical!!

Once again, these beauties will be available in the Tux Polish shop beginning Friday, June 16th at 10a Eastern. Pricing will be $10 each or $30 for the trio. Customers can also save 15% on any order of $30 or more by using code 15OFF30.

Memorial Day Mani using Serendipity Nail Polish

**this polish was purchased by me**

Today’s mani is about honoring those who have given their all for our country and our freedoms!

I have recently discovered a new-to-me indie/boutique brand called Serendipity Nail Polish, a brand that has mostly cremes, which is my most favorite polish finish! And Roxie, the brand’s creator, comes up with the most beautiful color combinations for her collections! Serendipity Nail Polish is a cruelty-free brand, and is also vegan and 7-free! Read more about the brand here. (I will describe the technique and the colors used after the pictures)

I chose to do the dry-brush technique for my mani today. I used [#goaldigger] for my base. A nice clean, white canvas! Next I used [big red bow] and [we run this beach] for my dry-brush streaks. I topped the whole mani off with some [caLOVEfornia] for some sunny sparkle! (I also some added some black star stamping using an Uber Chic Beauty stamping plate)

I can’t wait to see what new shades Roxie will be adding over the next couple of seasons! I only just discovered her brand a couple of weeks ago, but I already have purchased every polish in her entire store (minus just a couple polishes)! 😛

Terrible Twos Anniversary Trio by Lollipop Posse Lacquer | Indie Polish Review

**this product is a press sample and was sent to me to swatch and give my honest review**

Happy Monday! Today I want to share with you a gorgeous trio for the 2nd anniversary of Lollipop Posse Lacquer. Tomorrow is the official anniversary of Karen’s launch. Two whole years, and she has created so many beautiful polishes! This trio is no exception. Three gorgeous finishes! These beauties launch tomorrow evening, May 23rd, at 8p Eastern.

This trio is inspired by one of Karen’s favorite literary characters: Delirium from Neil Gaiman’s “Sandman” graphic novels. Delirium is the youngest of the seven Endless beings who are neither gods nor mortals, but have existed since the dawn of time. Delirium is abstract, lost, naive, and wise, and embodies a chaotic state of being that we’ve all experienced at one time or another.

Let’s take a look…

[scathed enough in her time] ($12)
“Despair: You cannot seek Destruction and return unscathed.
Desire: Delirium has.
Despair: Delirium has been scathed enough in her time.”
~Despair and Desire, from Neil Gaiman’s “Sandman” graphic novels

This is a violently violent blurple linear holo with a neon blue arc in the holographic flame. I used two coats and top coat for my swatch.

[telephone ice cream] ($9.50)
“Have you ever spent days and days making up flavors of ice cream that no one’s ever eaten before? Like chicken and telephone ice cream? …Green mouse ice cream was the worst. I didn’t like that at all.”
~Delirium

This is a stark white cream that is packed with various sizes of blue and purple shimmer. You may even catch a glimpse of pink shimmer in the right light! I used two coats and top coat for my swatch. My images appear a bit on the off-white side, but it definitely is more white!

[one hundred and eleven fish] ($12)
“It was then that Delirium noticed that she had absentmindedly transformed herself into a hundred and eleven perfect, tiny, multicolored fish. Each fish sang a different song. And as she put herself back together again, unable for the moment to remember whether the silver flecks went into the blue eye or the green one, she decided that a dog would be a nice thing to have. And then it occurred to her that there had been a dog around at some point, hadn’t there? A nice doggie. And she went off to look for it, trailing occasional fish…”
~Neil Gaiman’s “The Kindly Ones”

This magenta crelly beauty is Lollipop’s first  ever UCC that has been made available to the public! It is loaded with blue to green shifting shimmer and blue/green/purple UCC flakies. Such a gorgeous polish! I used two coats and top coat for my swatch.

How gorgeous are these three polishes?!?! Once again, these launch on May 23rd, at 8p Eastern in Karen’s shop. Be sure to set an alarm so you can get yours!
